About the Artist
Donna Bohlin Sammons lives in the small town of Sutter Creek, along the historic gold rush forty-niner trail in the Sierra Nevada Foothills of California. An advocate of developing sound drawing skills, she encourages her students to enhance their skills as artists by drawing and painting a range of subjects and exploring various mediums. Her technical ink paintings and realistic oil paintings take many enjoyable hours of intense focus to complete. Her rich soft pastel works move into the expressive quality of realism. Donna is a self taught, self motivated artist, who's intention is to encourage, uplift and inspire on this art life journey. Her art studio is a second home for her students to set aside time for themselves and focus on their art as well.
"It is important to be creative. Creativity improves spacial thinking and the ability to problem solve in all areas of life. It keeps your calm and patience exercised."-Donna
